6:30 AM start and a 1700’ climb right out of the gate. Long but not harsh. Snack on top with others and dried out my 1 1/4 lb tent. Which I love. From camp there was a 10 mile stretch with no water so I drank up and filtered up at a river. I carried just shy of 3 liters (7 lbs ouch) last 4 miles is a burn area wide open noon sun and 86 degrees. Killed me but ended up donating all my remaining water to two clowns who had not planed properly PPP. And they bailed out, the ones wife picked them up. O-well. Bye.
Very hard day, 2600’ up 17 miles. Quite a few people on trail but you are alone most of the time. Seeing the same people and the same group is hanging together in camp tonight at 7800’. Trail is no joke. Instructions to complete are:
