Woke up to 36 degrees, perfect hiking temp. 1st resupply today from son Jon at Kenosha pass. Just two days of food until Jon and Christine join me and bring a 5 day food supply. They are going to hike with me for 8 days.
A trail angel is a person who leaves “treats” for hikers, knowing we don’t get goodies on trail. In today’s case a cooler of pop from hiker named Caveman and an ice cold rootbeer for me. Thanks Caveman.
Over 70 miles hiked and I have not seen one speck of trash. Way to go Colorado people. Lots of pride and respect for the outdoors here.
Our group of travelers, Tramily, is still together and a mad game of spoons, using sticks, happened in camp tonight. A hiker named Dine n Dash showed up and played his ukulele for us. I and most were in bed by 8:30, still light out.
Mile 80 camping at 11,000’. When I hit camp tonight I was spent.
