You don’t want to carry more than about 5 days of food (about 8 pounds). You have to “resupply” in a town, have friends or family bring it to you at a road crossing, or mail yourself a box and pick it up.
Add in a couple pieces of jerky, some electrolytes powder with water, and a little trail mix with dinner, and that’s it. Skinny people add olive oil for added calories. That does not apply in my case.
When you do drop down to a town it is beer and burger time!
