Yesterday and today were a turning point for me. I think it was a combination of things that brought me down but the main thing was the total non stop difficulty. Writing my thoughts at the end of the day affected my narrative as well. For the first ten days I was breathing hard and sweating 10 hrs a day. I was toasted every day, repeat, repeat, repeat. I came into this adventure knowing it would be hard but had no idea. I would say Jon and Christine would agree, it is surprisingly hard. I have had great support from two friends I met on trail, Robin and Barbara. Some things have changed now, mostly my attitude. I am now looking at this as a very hard challenge, which it is and not many folks can accomplish. Odd that I had not thought that prior. AND I am starting to get my legs and AIR. Parts of days are very tough but not the whole day. Today had a massive 4 mile steep climb end of day. I hit camp like a whooped pup but claimed victory. I am starting to absorb the beauty of this trail. I am embracing the challenge and enjoying the experience.
I am seeing and experiencing amazing things.
