Day 4

Day 4

Man I needed a day like today. Glorious views and a variety of forests. Hiked an 8 mile valley to start, then great views all day. Thought it would be an easy day but now know there are no easy 16 mile day, just easier.

I go a few miles, then have breakfast. Today was oatmeal, jerky, and goldfish. Another 16 miles and only took 9 1/2 hours with one long break for phone calls because I had service.

Our little band of folks are together again tonight and hanging more. Very fun. 7 people from all walks of life. Surprisingly, all younger. It is a thing on trail because camps are usually on water so only a few places and folk typically do similar miles. It’s called a trail family “Tramly”.

I am blessed, no blisters. In our group 4 of 8 are suffering.

Had an awesome creek bath tonight!

Someone said we are 12% done. 4 days down, 27 to go.

Go to day 5
